Job Description

Ventory is currently looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team. As an SDR, you will play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers.

An SDR at Ventory is the first point of contact for many of our customers. You’ll be responsible for strategically prospecting and qualifying leads that will grow our business and drive us towards our revenue goals. You’ll handle initial discovery calls and meetings with potential customers. Our sales team works in collaboration with marketing nurturing leads and setting qualified discovery calls. Your play ground will be Europe: BeNeLux region and all countries around (UK, France, Germany, and the Nordics).

You would dive into the world of Field Inventory & Spare Parts Control and Logistics and help us with expand ing our footprint within the Medical Device, Enterprise Technology, Utilities, Infrastructure, and 3PL sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about technology and eager to start or advance their career in sales.

In this role you get to:

  • Lead Generation: Research and identify potential customers through various channels including social media, industry events, and web research.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting (calls, emails, social media) to qualify leads and schedule appointments.
  • Lead Qualification: Engage with prospects to understand their needs, challenges, and potential fit with Ventory.io’s solutions.
  • CRM Management: Accurately enter and maintain detailed records of leads, activities, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective outreach strategies.
  • Follow-up: Nurture and follow up with potential customers to ensure a consistent and positive experience.
  • Market Insights: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to effectively communicate Ventory.io’s value proposition.
  • Become experts in the Ventory Platform, understand its features, value proposition and be able to quickly understand the potential customers challenges and recommend value proposition to their operations and overall business.

We expect you to have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role is a plus, but not required. Recent graduates with relevant internships or project experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Other languages (Dutch, French or German) are a plus in view of the international character of the job.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships quickly.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software and other sales tools; familiarity with remote inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly motivated and driven to achieve targets and goals. Attitude is everything.
  • Adaptable: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and contribute to the team’s success.

  • This position is based in Belgium. We aim to have the team together once a week in our office in Zaventem.
